Past Simple
(1) Show your students a picture and ask what this character did yesterday. Listen to their ideas, ask follow-up questions.
(2) The students read the text and rewrite it in the Past Simple. When they are done give them some time to compare ideas in pairs. Check their answers in a teacher fronted way.
