The teacher brings a real pencil case and asks students to guess what is inside.

It turns out that there are unusual pencils with words on them! Present new grammar and leave prompts on the board.

Divide your students into 4 teams. Each team has got a different pocket:

Team А = -s
Team В = -es
Team С = -ies
Team D = -ves

Take pencils from the pocket one by one quickly and read the nouns out loud.

If the pencil goes into pocket -s, Team A clap their hands and get 1 pencil.

If they don't clap, or make a mistake and clap when they weren't supposed to, they lose 1 pencil.

Keep going like this until there is nothing left in the pencil case. The team with the most pencils wins.

FOLLOW-UP:

Make a paper toy. Students stick the pockets into their notebooks and put pencils inside.
