Grammar Beans
Past Simple
Stick this label to an empty bean can and put the cards inside. Bring the can to the lesson and treat your students to a nutritious grammar snack.

(1) A representative of Team A (the cook) "pours" the beans onto the table. Some cards will turn up, some will fall face down.

(2) Team B try to remember the correct V2 / V3 of all the verbs on the cards which turned up upon landing.

Each correct answer = 1 point.
Each mistake = minus 1 point.

When they are done, the players put the beans back into the can. Now it's Team B's turn.

(3) Keep going like this until each student gets a chance to be "the cook". Count the points and choose the winners.
