(1) Fake News: write 3 real and 2 imaginary headlines on the board. Ask your students to guess which of these news stories aren't true.
(2) Say that you have started to read Canine Daily recently. What kind of articles can we find in a newspaper with such a name? Listen to their ideas, write them on the board.
(3) Give your students a page with headlines. The learners work in pairs and try to guess the stories behind these headlines.
(4) Hand out the front page of Canine Daily to your students. They read the text and check their ideas. When they are done, they read the stories again and do the task at page 2.
(5) Point out that we can only read the beginning of articles at this page. How did these stories end?
Each student chooses 1 story and writes its ending (this can be done as a part of homework).
