Countries and Nationalities
Countries and Nationalities
All aboard! A colourful ESL worksheet for little sea wolves and young adventurers. Let's go on a trip around the world together!

(1) The students work in pairs or small groups, connecting islands with ships.

(2) Check their answers in a teacher fronted way, elicit: "This ship is from (country name)".

(3) Use guided discovery to present adjective endings (Germany - German, Spain - Spanish, Russia - Russian, etc.). Leave prompts on the board.

(4) Hand out the second page and ask your students to write the nationality next to the ships.

(5) Project: the students draw their own ships with their favourite cartoon / film characters.

They also need to draw a flag and write a sentence about the character's nationality (e.g. Jack Sparrow is from the UK, he is British).
